Texan friends, I will be in Austin TX for the Austin Teen Book Festival next month! It's on Oct 1st, from 10am to 5pm. I'll be on a panel called I Heart Love Stories with Stephanie Perkins, Simone Elkeles, Christina Mandelski, Jennifer Ziegler, and moderated by Cristina Garcia. Sounds juicy, right? ;)

We'll Always Have Summer has been on the New York Times Bestseller list for THREE weeks now!!! A big thanks to everyone who preordered and went out and bought the book. You guys are the best!

We'll Always Have Summer is officially, as of yesterday, out in the world! It's a real live book! You guys, I really hope hope hope you love it as much as I do. It was super sad to say good bye to Belly and Beck's boys, but I've got all kinds of stuff lined up for you guys, so just you wait!

Also I am still writing We'll Always Have Summer, but I am so very nearly done! It looks like it will still come out in 2011, so yay!

I will be at the Brooklyn Book Festival this Sunday, Sept 12th. I'll be on a panel with Sara Shepard and Lauren Oliver so come check us out! 2pm at the Teen Stoop.

So the number one question I'm being asked lately is whether or not there will be a third Summer book. Well! I am here to tell you that the answer is YES, there will be! It's called WE'LL ALWAYS HAVE SUMMER. I am hard at work on finishing it so it will actually come out next summer, May 2011. If you've emailed/twittered/anything-ed me and I haven't replied, it's only because I am on lockdown trying to finish this book on time. I haven't forgotten you! I just think me and the Internet need to go on a break so I can focus all my attentions on the Book!

Oh, and hey, the British, French, and Swedish versions of The Summer I Turned Pretty are now out! Keeping my fingers crossed that my Swedish edition will somehow bring me closer to my #1 crush Alexander Skarsgard.
